Trinity happenings

Sunday worship at Trinity Lutheran Church, 175 S. Third St., with Holy Communion is at 9:30 a.m. Gluten-free communion wafers are available for those with allergy issues. Included during the service is a time for children to bid farewell to the alleluias during the season of Lent. Alleluias return Easter Sunday. The Rev. Nancy Moore presides. Vicar Richard Bergen assists. Coffeehouse fellowship follows.

Sunday church school classes for students age 3 through sixth grade begin at 10:45 a.m.

For those desiring to seek membership at Trinity or arranging a baptismal date, an appointment may be arranged with Pastor Moore by contacting the church office at 610-377-4303.

In the event of inclement weather which may lead to cancellations, look on the listings on WFMZ-TV or BRCTV Channel 13, plus a message will be recorded on the church phone.

Lent begins with Ash Wednesday on Feb. 14. Worship with Holy Communion and imposition of ashes on the forehead is at noon and 7 p.m.

Bethany EC Church

Bethany EC Church, 222 North St. holds Sunday worship with the Rev. Jeff Stansbury, pastor.

Sunday school is at 9:30 a.m. with classes for all ages, including adult Bible study class, fellowship time at 10:15 a.m., morning worship at 10:45 a.m., preschool nursery available and Jr. Church provided for children in kindergarten through sixth grade. Evening worship, 7 p.m., fellowship hall.

Monday: Kids Club, 6-7:15 p.m. each Monday.

Tuesday: Ladies Bible study, 10 a.m. at Blocker’s residence.

Wednesday: Revelation Bible study, 6 p.m.; prayer meeting, 7 p.m.

Thursday: Men’s Bible study at McDonald’s, 5:15 a.m.; choir practice, 7 p.m.

Friday: Wrapped in Prayer Ministry, 7 p.m.

Looking ahead:

• District Roller Skating, 1-3 p.m. Sunday, LaRose’s Skating Rink, Lehighton.

• Game Night, But It’s Not “Night.” 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Feb. 17 at Jokers Are Wild, First Street, Lehighton.

• Minding Your P’s & Q’s (Pizza & Questions), 6:30 p.m. March 27, St. Peter’s Resource Center, Main Road, Franklin Township.

Clothing ministry in need of new or gently used children’s clothing, sizes infant to size 12. Drop off Fridays, 10 a.m. to noon at side door.
