Tamaqua Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church’s Culinary and Outreach teams presented a check for $2,000 to the Tamaqua Rescue Squad. It is the fifth time they have given to a community emergency unit. The money is raised through a July benefit ice cream social and through the monthly Zion’s Blessings thrift sales at the church. Present at the check presentation were Jeremy Westwood, Tamaqua Rescue Squad; Art Connely and Glenn Fritzinger, Zion Culinary; and Matthew Hill and Mike Westwood, Tamaqua Rescue Squad.
