Brockton man dies in vintage car crash

A Brockton man died from injuries he suffered when he crashed his vintage car at 9:15 a.m. Sunday at the intersection of Route 209 and Tuscarora Mountain Drive in the village of Tuscarora, Schuylkill Township.

Brian P. Dahm, 81, was operating his vintage 1931 Ford custom and apparently lost control while traveling north on Route 209.

Dahm entered the intersection, striking and going over the guide rails in the northeast corner of the intersection. Firefighters of the Tuscarora fire company and members of the Tamaqua Rescue Squad worked to free Dahm from the wreckage. Members of the Tamaqua ambulance and Lehighton paramedics treated Dahm before he was flown by Medevac helicopter to the Lehigh Valley Hospital trauma center in Allentown.

The Lehigh County Coroner’s Office pronounced Dahm dead at 2:19 p.m. Sunday in the emergency department of Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest. He died from multiple traumatic injuries due to the crash.

State police at Frackville are investigating.
