CCTI appoints Reinbold as interim director

A familiar face is back at Carbon Career & Technical Institute. Joint Operating Committee voted to appoint David Reinbold the CCTI Interim Administrative Director, effective Monday through Dec. 31.

Salary numbers were not available Friday.

Reinbold will finish the term vacated by Brent Borzak, who resigned the post for personal reasons.

Borzak had taken over as administrative director last year when Reinbold retired.

Borzak, who had previously served as principal, gave his resignation last month.

His resignation was effective Aug. 17.

“I deeply value the 20 years of my life I have devoted to CCTI. I have decided to move on due to personal and health reasons. The only regret I have is the time and opportunities I did not get to spend with family and friends due to the rigors all school leaders face.”

Reinbold was administrative director from 2008 to 2022.

The board is searching for someone to fill the position on a permanent basis.

Also Thursday, Robert Fehr was appointed Welding Instructor, effective Aug. 24, taking over for Thomas Bartholomew who resigned as of June 26. In addition, Fehr was approved for up to 10 additional days from Aug. 4 to 23, two of which will be used for new teacher induction days.

Jeffrey Hazelton was appointed as a Teacher Mentor for Fehr.

CCTI Joint Operating Committee also accepted the letter of resignation from Laura Foeller, instructional aide, effective Aug. 1.
