Grejda keeps Thorpe off the scoreboard for five innings before surrendering a tally in the sixth. The winning hurler walks two and strikes out seven. Joe Genits collects a pair of hits, one of them a two-run homer. John Stanko adds two hits and a couple of runs, while Grejda scores twice. For Thorpe, Richie Kelowitz finishes with a couple of hits.
