The National Weather Service in Mount Holly, N.J., has issued a weather advisory from midnight until 10 a.m. Saturday.
Snow is expected to fall in Carbon and Monroe County, with accumulations from 1-3 inches, although some areas may see as much as 4 inches.Snow is expected to begin falling during a one- or two-hour period between 2 a.m. and 6 a.m. Saturday and could be heavy at times. A 1- to 2-inch per hour snowfall rate is possible.Widespread hazardous travel conditions are anticipated with visibilities as low as one-quarter mile during the heaviest period of snowfall.Those traveling are warned to be prepared for slippery roads and limited visibility and to use caution while driving.
