Folks around the region were greeted with icy windshields and mirrors this morning. For the most part, main roads were OK for the morning commute, but the sidewalks and parking

lots were dangerous. The sleet and freezing rain was expected to transition to snow, andthe arctic temperatures will return by Thursday.
