It was slick travel for many this morning as yet another blast of winter weather moves through the region.

The storm started just before 4 a.m. with light snow and temperatures in the teens. By 6 a.m., the snow had covered the roads, slowing morning commutes to crawls in some areas.According to the National Weather Service, who issued a winter weather advisory until 3 p.m., the storm is expected to drop between one and three inches before clearing out this afternoon.There is also a chance for snow showers this evening.A few fender bender crashes were reported early.One occurred just around 7 a.m., on Route 443 in Lehighton, at the intersection of Route 209, near Sapore's Restaurant. No injuries were reported.Most schools throughout Carbon, Schuylkill, Lehigh, Northampton and Monroe counties were closed today as a result of the forecast.Lehighton Area Middle School's concert has been postponed until Wednesday.After this storm, the area will begin to see a warm-up, with temperatures climbing into the 40s by Friday.The weekend outlook looks wet, but warm.On Saturday, there is a chance of showers with a high of 46.Showers may continue Sunday, but temperatures will top out at near 60, before the next cold front moves through Sunday night.
