Mahoning Township police investigated a one-vehicle crash Tuesday night on Route 209 outside of Jim Thorpe.

At 7:43 p.m. a Jeep Cherokee driven by a 17-year-old female from Lehighton was traveling up the Mansion House Hill. The Jeep went over any icy section of the roadway and failed to negotiate a left hand curve striking an ice formation on the shoulder. After impact with the ice the Jeep rolled over.

The driver was transported to Gnaden Huetten for treatment of an injury. The roadway was closed for approximately an hour as a result.
