Lansford police are investigating an incident involving a man impersonating a police officer.
The incident occurred on the 100 block of East Bertsch Street, near the Panther Valley Library.
The man approached a female at about 5 p.m. Thursday and said she was loitering.
He brought her over to his vehicle, searched her and her possessions, and groped her. He then said she was free to go and left.
The man is described as white, 5' 8", wearing a black beanie, black jacket, and black pants. He had a duty belt on with a gun, handcuffs, and baton and was operating a white, late model, unmarked Ford Crown Victoria with a spot light and a push bumper that covered the front end of the vehicle.
