Skiers and area residents looking for a fun night this weekend, should look no further.

Blue Mountain Health System is hosting its Carbon County Ski Night and Auction "Slip, Slide, SOLD" from 4 to 10 p.m., Saturday, at Blue Mountain Ski Resort in Palmerton.Lisa Johnson, vice president of public relations and marketing for the hospital, said that residents of Carbon County and the surrounding areas can ski, tube or snowboard for $20 during the event.Lift tickets that had been issued for the event, which was originally slated for Feb. 21, but postponed due to inclement weather, will be honored Saturday.There will also be basket raffles and a silent auction from 4 to 9 p.m. in the Vista Ballroom, for those snow bunnies who just don't like winter, or for skiers coming in to warm up.A lift ticket is not required to participate in the raffle and auction.A live auction will also take place at 8 p.m.Becky and the Beasts will perform from 7 to 10 p.m., and there will be a "Dining Around the World" gourmet food station for a fee.Other food and beverages will also be available for purchase.Proceeds from the event will benefit Gnaden Huetten Memorial Hospital and the Palmerton Hospital, as well as the Summit Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
