Slatington Woman's Club has named Jamie Miller as its Girl of the Month for September.

Miller is a senior at Northern Lehigh Area High School where she is Student Council President. She is a member of Honor Society, Spanish Club, Concert Band, Concert Choir, Women's Choir, Jazz Band, Percussion Ensemble, Musical Pit Orchestra, Show Choir and SADD.She has earned: President's Education Awards Program Outstanding Academic Excellence (2008); Certificate of Award The Baum School of Art (2010; National Junior Honor Society (2010); President's Education Awards Program Outstanding Academic Excellence (2010); Common Wealth of PA Good Citizenship Award (2010); National Honor Society (2012); Certificate of Achievement Emerging Leaders Institute (2013).Miller is active within Faith Alive United Methodist Church and is a councilor at the Bowman Park Camp Association.She plans to attend college to become a physician's assistant and enter the mission field as a medical missionary.Miller is the daughter of Michele and James Miller of Slatington and has a brother, Nicholas.
