Wentz earns a 54-second victory over runner-up and defending champion Joe Muldowney of Pottsville in the race through the streets of Summit Hill, Lansford, Coaldale and Nesquehoning. Palmerton’s Dave Horvath turns in a time of 56:08 to earn fourth, while Dave Robinson of Lehighton crosses the finish line at the PV Elementary School in Nesquehoning in eighth place with a time of 58:26. Tamaqua’s Dianne Schimpf ends in fourth place among the female runners.
