Two buildings were destroyed Monday morning by a fast moving brush fire in East Penn Township. The fire was reported by the owner of the property at 760 West Sunset Road just after 11 a.m.

The owner reported he was having a control burn when high winds swept the flames into a high grass field. The flames quickly devoured a nearly wood frame garage and an out building.

Firefighters are still on scene.

The fire started with a controlled burn.

Warning: The National Weather Service said low afternoon humidity with gusty winds has created an elevated risk for brush fires.
