These Slatington Elementary pupils appear to have an extra bounce in their step as they prepare to return to their classrooms for the first day of school this morning. Northern Lehigh School District, Palmerton Area School District, Panther Valley School District, and Tamaqua Area School District were among those in the TIMES NEWS coverage area that began classes today. Jim Thorpe Area Schools open tomorrow and the students in the Lehighton Area School District return next week.
