Two people were killed early today in a crash along Interstate 78 in Upper Saucon Township, Lehigh County.

State police at Fogelsville said the victims were a male and female. Their names were not released, pending identification and notification of next of kin by the county coroner's office.Troopers said the crash occurred at 12:51 a.m. Troopers said a tractor with trailer struck the center median, and then a struck a bridge support. The driver was killed along with a passenger.A second tractor with trailer was struck by the trailer of the first rig, as the second driver attempted to avoid the crash. The second driver was not injured.The investigation into the crash is continuing.
