Slatington Police continue to investigate several burglaries and a robbery that occurred within the past five days in the borough.
Police Chief David Rachman said the incidents, two burglaries and a robbery, took place between last week Wednesday and Sunday.Rachman said the robbery transpired at around 9 a.m. Sunday at the Sunoco gas station at 160 Main St. At that time, he said a white male believed to be in his 40s jumped over the counter, grabbed the cash drawer, and fled.That incident took place several days after the Slatington Diner, at 662 Main Street, and St. John's United Church of Christ, 15 Second St., were burglarized sometime Wednesday evening, Rachman said.The person who committed the robbery is not believed to be the same person involved in the pair of burglaries, Rachman said.Rachman said all three incidents are actively under investigation.Anyone with information is asked to contact the police department at (610) 437-5252.
