The Gettysburg National Military Park, site of the famous Civil War battle, is hosting Maureen Carrigan of Jim Thorpe as a member of their Summer Youth Conservation Corps.

Maureen is one of 41 teenagers hailing from across the state of Pennsylvania who are housed for the eight-week session at Camp Eisenhower.The camp is located in a former motel recently purchased by the park, and YCC enrollees fulfill the dual goals of work and education in the outdoor environs of the park.
