The Mahoning Township supervisors awarded various bids for road materials and fuel for the upcoming year.
All the bids were awarded by 3-0 votes with supervisors Franklin Ruch and Todd Weaver absent.Atlantic Energy was awarded the four bids for fuels including 1,500 gallons of propane at a cost of 1.5387 per gallon for a total of $2,308.05, 5,500 gallons of low sulfur diesel fuel at a cost of 3.217 per gallon for a total of $17,693.50, 3,000 gallons of heating fuel at $3.04 per gallon for a total of $9,120 and 8,500 gallons of gasoline at $3.0345 per gallon for a total of $25,793.25.All road materials were awarded to Lehigh Asphalt. Included in the bid package were 500 ton 9.5MM wearing course FOB at $63.25 per ton for a total of $31,625 and delivered at a rate of $71.75 per ton for a total of $129,150; 1,800 tons of 25MM base course at a rate of $52.75 per ton for a total of $26,375, 500 ton of 25MM base course delivered at a rate of $63.75 per ton for a cost of $31,875.Also, #8 stone with 2% loss by wash delivered at a rate of $15.75 per ton for a total of $7,875, 1,500 ton of antiskid delivered at a cost of $13.48 per ton for a total of $20,220, 500 ton of 2A FOB at a cost of $8.25 per ton for a total of $4,125 and 500 ton of 2-A delivered at a cost of $12.50 per ton for a total of $6,250.Also awarded was 500 tons of #3 FOB at a cost of $10.25 per ton for a total of $5,125 and delivered at $14.50 per ton for a total of $7,250, 500 ton of #1 stone FOB at a cost of $10.25 per ton for a total of $5,125 and delivered at a cost of $14.50 per ton for a total of $7,250. Finally, 500 ton of #57 stone delivered at a cost of $14.50 for a total of $7,250.
