Lansford American Legion Post #123 held an Easter egg hunt at the Lansford pool on Saturday, March 23 at 1 p.m. Hundreds of children came out despite the cooler weather. More than 2,000 eggs were placed along the pool grounds for the children to find.
The hunt was broken down into three age groups, and prizes were given out for each group. Lansford Alive vice-president Bob Silver said the amount of help was phenomenal. He said he was amazed to see the number of volunteers who came out to offer their time. He thanked all organizations and volunteers that were involved in the success of the egg hunt. Silver also said the event was positive for the community, and was glad to see something for the children of Lansford. Members of the Legion also said the event was a success.
