Get refunds for unused RadioShack cards

Pennsylvania Attorney General Kathleen G. Kane's office today announced consumers holding unused gift cards purchased from RadioShack now have an established way to obtain refunds.

Consumers may file claims online at

www.oldradioshackgiftcard.com or call 844-794-3477.RadioShack filed for bankruptcy earlier this year. Attorneys with the Pennsylvania Office of Attorney General's Bureau of Consumer Protection helped work toward a settlement that ensured consumers who paid for RadioShack gift cards received "priority" status in the bankruptcy proceedings. The settlement called for those who paid for RadioShack gift cards to receive 100 percent reimbursement.The Attorney General cautioned consumers that no one associated with this settlement would contact them to ask for personal or financial information, or to request any payment.
