A motorist escaped injury Sunday morning after he was involved in a crash along Interstate 81 in Kline Township.
The crash occurred just before 9 a.m. at the 137.5 mile marker at the McAdoo exit,as he was traveling north and was crossing a bridge which carries the interstate over the Route 309 exit ramp.
A heavy mist in the area froze making the bridges extremely icy. His vehicle spun out of control, spinning across the two northbound lanes continuing over a grass center medial then across the two southbound lanes.
He escaped injury but was visibly shaken.
The SUV came to rest on its side just narrowly being struck by a south bound tractor trailer.
Fire companies from McAdoo and Delano responded to the scene.
State police at Frackville are investigating the incident.
