Do you remember your parents handing you a coloring book and crayons for some quiet time? Have you ever done the same with your children, hoping to end the day on a quiet note or keep them occupied doing something simple and creative? Did you know that coloring was as soothing for adults as it is for children? One of the newest crazes sweeping the country is the adult coloring book and the Tamaqua Community Art Center is offering local adults the opportunity to see just what this craze is all about.
"Color Between the Wines," a coloring book party for adults, will be held at the art center from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday. The fee will include the cost of an adult coloring book, coloring supplies and snacks. Participants will need to provide their own adult beverages. For more information, or to register, call 570-668-1192. The art center is located at 125 Pine St. in Tamaqua.
