One person is dead and two others seriously injured in a single vehicle crash Saturday night along the Pennsylvania Turnpike in Carbon County.
The crash occurred in the northbound lanes at the 82.3 mile marker. The vehicle was traveling north when the driver lost control entering the right berm and hitting a rock wall, then re-entering the roadway crossing the two lanes where it hit the Jersey center barrier.
A passenger was ejected.
A Carbon county deputy coroner is on scene.
Two people flown by Penn Star and MedEvac helicopters to Lehigh Valley area trauma center.
State police at Pocono are investigating the incident.
Franklin Township fire company responded to the scene.
