Cordell Brettle, sophomore at Panther Valley High School, was selected to attend the upcoming Hugh O'Brian Youth Leadership seminar.
He will travel to Shippensburg University for the seminar, to be held May 19 to 22.HOBY was founded in 1958 to inspire and develop the global community of youth and volunteers to a life dedicated to leadership, service and innovation.During the four-day seminar, Brettle will learn about personal leadership, group leadership and leadership in society.Brettle is the son of Paul and Patty Brettle of Summit Hill and is currently ranked first in his class.He is actively involved in both sports and various school activities and community service events.Panther Valley High School actively participates in HOBY annually.Last year, the school sent Brendan Morgans, son of Rick and Jacqui Morgans of Nesquehoning.Morgans is also currently ranked first in his class and is an active member in both school athletics and activities, as well as community service events.
