Walter H. Niehoff, former Lehighton borough manager, has been named an associate professor of political science at Bloomsburg State College.

He will begin his new duties Aug. 8 and will teach municipal government and administration, state government and administration, principles of American government and international relations.Yesterday, Niehoff resigned as managerof Lehighton's water and sewer authorities in letters to officials of the two borough units.He resigned as Lehighton Borough manager last March after a hassle with several councilmen over snow removal in the community.Last Friday, Paul L. McCauley, Clarks Summit, was named his successor.
