Jim Thorpe Area High School will hold an orientation and luncheon from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 22 at the high school for students who are new to the district in grades nine through 12. Students' parents or guardians are also invited to attend.

At this orientation, students and parents or guardians will have the opportunity to meet students who currently attend the high school, have any questions answered, and participate in a tour of the school. A light lunch will be served.Students and parents or guardians planning to attend this orientation should contact the guidance office at 570-325-5137.An orientation for students entering ninth grade who are currently in the district will be held at 1 p.m.
