More than 150 motorcycle and automobile riders took part in the third annual Ride for Tommy benefit bike ride, held recently at the Tuscarora Fire Company. The ride extended about 60 miles through the valley, and was held in memory of Tommy Coleman, who was killed in a car accident on Aug. 23, 2009. All the proceeds went to the family of Emma Hope Cipko, who was born with a heart defect known as Tetralogy of Fallot, which required open heart surgery shortly after her birth. Taking part in the Ride for Tommy benefit are Joel Farber of Newkirk, driving a 1969 Mach 1 Mustang; and Ronny Ziegler of Tamaqua and Amanda Ziegler trailing behind in a Jeep Wrangler.
