Tkach foundation assists food pantry

The Bo Tkach Under the Helmet and Hat Foundation recently provided $1,000 in assistance to the Nesquehoning Food Pantry to help replenish food items for the pantry that serves that area. Board member Billy O’Gurek presented the check to the Paula Anthony, left, and Mary Beth Beck, who help run the pantry based at Meed’s United Methodist Church. The foundation, which has a primary goal of providing counseling services for young people who may not have the resources to get them help, also provides scholarships and athletic assistance. It recently expanded its services by providing funds to local food pantries that assist the needy and less fortunate. CONTRIBUTED PHOTO
