Pastor Scott Carver of Pleasant Valley Assembly of God in Brodheadsville has organized a community event from 5-8 p.m. Saturday for the purpose of uniting the Poconos to come together as one to pray for our first respondents, our officials, our community and our country.

This event will take place at the West End Fair grounds in Gilbert.Churches from different denominations will be ending the service with a candlelight prayer. It is open to all. If it rains, the service will be held in one of the buildings.Chestnuthill Township Supervisor Chuck Gould will be present, along with other officials. The West End Ambulance and a state trooper to represent first responders will be present.
