Soup, Scripture

The final “Soup and Scripture” for this year’s Lenten season will be held at 6 p.m. March 31 at St. John’s Lutheran Church, South Avenue. The light meal will be served at 6 p.m., followed by the discussion on “Genetics and Bioethics.”

Palm Sunday

Palm/Passion Sunday services will be held at St. John’s Lutheran Church, South Avenue, at 10:30 a.m. Sunday. Fronds and crosses will be distributed at the service.

Community dinner

On Sunday, St. Mark’s Episcopal Church, Race Street, will host the monthly free community dinner. The menu will be an Easter ham dinner and will be served from 4 to 6 p.m. If you have questions, call 570-325-2241.
