Responsible Recycling Services will be holding an electronics recycling day in Palmerton this week.

The Palmerton Borough Garage will host the event between 3:30 and 6:30 p.m. Thursday.Many items can be recycled free of charge, including desktop and laptop computers, printers, fax machines, gaming systems, microwaves, car batteries, and cellphones that have their batteries removed.Larger items, including televisions, refrigerators, washers and dryers, will require a varying fee for recycling.Broken televisions will not be accepted.Off-site hard drive and document destruction will also be available for a small fee, and will include a certificate of destruction.All fees can be paid in cash or check, with checks made out to Responsible Recycling Services, or RRS.
