The east entrance to Lake Hauto will remain open to the public. Nesquehoning Borough Council approved a draft agreement with the Lansford-Coaldale Joint Water Authority.
The borough agreed to withdraw its pending court petition to intervene in the condemnation of 126 acres of land in the Hauto Valley and the authority agrees to keep the road open to traffic. The authority agreed to improve its portion of the road with a tar and chip surface.
