The Jim Thorpe school board on Monday approved and accepted:

• Board treasurer John Ciavarella as the alternative representative of the Joint Operating Committee of Carbon Career & Technical Institute, representing the district for one year.• Vicki Kistler's resignation from a paraprofessional position, effective Nov. 18.• The posting of an open paraprofessional position.• Special education teacher Michael Jacobs's resignation, effective Dec. 2.- Brian Myszkowski
