Fire companies from several Carbon county communities responded to a working structure fire Wednesday afternoon at the Mahoning township Walmart.

The fire was first reported shortly after 3 p.m. as a working fire with flames and smoke showing in a maintenance room in the center of the store.

Shoppers and employees were evacuated from the store. The store remained closed as of 4:30 p.m.

No injuries were reported in the incident.
