The National Weather Service in Mount Holly has issued a freezing rain advisory from 1 a.m. to 10 a.m. Tuesday.

Ice accumulations will be less than a tenth of an inch.

Areas of light freezing rain is expected to develop toward daybreak on Tuesday, then change to plain rain into Tuesday afternoon as temperatures rise.

Light icing may create slippery conditions on untreated roads, especially on bridges and overpasses.

Temperatures will be in the lower 30s, then rising through the 30s and into the 40s during the morning and afternoon on Tuesday.
