Winds helped to spread a controlled burn out of control at 1:30 p.m. Saturday along the 800 block of Catawissa Road in Walker Township. Fire companies from Walker township and New Ringgold responded to the scene. Smoke from the blaze could be seen for miles. Water to fight the flames was drawn from a nearby pond.
