The engagement of Alicia Silfies of San Mateo, California, to Andrew Buonanno, also of San Mateo, has been announced by her parents.

The bride-to-be is the daughter of David and Denise Silfies of Palmerton. She is a 2008 graduate of Palmerton Area High School. She also graduated from the Art Institute of Philadelphia. She is employed as a senior graphic designer at Google in Mountain View, California.

The prospective bridegroom is the son of Lisa Grim of Haddonfield, New Jersey, and David and Marie Buonanno of Margate, New Jersey. He is a graduate of the Art Institute of Philadelphia. He is employed as a software engineer at LinkedIn in Mountain View.

The couple is planning a wedding for the fall of next year.
