Tractor-trailer traffic on Palmerton's Delaware Avenue will be cut significantly by early fall following a new $250,000 access route project to be constructed by the Zinc Corporation of America. ZCI announced that it will begin construction of a new truck entrance to the East Plant facility. An estimated 123 trucks per day enter the ZCA East Plant via Delaware Avenue and the new plant entrance will essentially remove nearly all heavy truck traffic from Palmerton's main street.
