A home was destroyed by a fast moving fire early Monday morning in Walker Township.

The fire was first reported at 5:36 a.m. along Laurel Lane off Reynolds Road.When the first emergency responders arrived on scene they found the home fully involved in flames.Firefighters were able to utilize water from a large pond in front of the home.Fire companies from Walker, West Penn and Schuylkill townships as well as Tamaqua and New Ringgold responded as well as the Tamaqua Rescue Squad.
