Tax collector

Terrance P. McCall, Lansford tax collector, has announced office hours for the last week of 2019.

His office will be open from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Dec. 24; 2 to 6 p.m. on Dec. 26; 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Dec. 27; 8 to 10 a.m. Dec. 28; 2 to 5 p.m. Dec. 30; and 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Dec. 31.

Trinity Lutheran

On Sunday, there will be a morning worship service at 9:30 a.m. On Tuesday evening, the Christmas Eve Candlelight Service of Holy Communion will be held at 8 p.m. The Rev. Roy H. Koehler will be preside at both of these services. All are welcome to attend.

Meed’s Memorial

Meed’s Memorial United Methodist Church, 126 W. Catawissa St., has announced the following schedule at the church.

Sunday services will be held at 11 a.m. nursery and children’s Sunday school are available during the service.

The church also hosts a clothing ministry from 5:30 to 7 p.m. on Wednesdays.

A showing of “A Christmas Carol” will take place at 7 p.m. on Friday.

There will be Christmas Eve services at Meed’s. At 2 p.m. a family service will be held; and at 8 and 11 p.m. candlelight services will be held.

Monday: Roast turkey, filling, green bean casserole, carrots & parsnips, pumpkin mousse or deli club sandwich

Tuesday: Center closed

Wednesday: Center closed

Thursday: Turkey Diane, mashed potatoes, broccoli, bread pudding or spinach salad with chicken

Friday: Glazed pork, butternut squash, Brussels sprouts, baked apples or beef & cheese sandwich
