A driver was injured in a one vehicle crash that occurred about 2:48 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 15, along SR125 in Pine Grove Township, Schuylkill County.

State police at Schuylkill Haven said John J. Cooper, 44, of Pine Grove, was driving a 2005 Chevrolet Silverado southbound when, for unknown reasons, the truck crossed over the double yellow line and into the northbound lane. The truck then left the road and traveled about 40 feet before striking a PPL utility pole with the passenger side. After striking the pole the vehicle struck a tree with the drivers' side.After managing to drive between the pole and tree, the truck struck a parked 1995 Dodge Ram 1500 truck pushing it about 36 feet. After this impact the Silverado became airborne and came to final rest on 125 facing northeast.Cooper sustained numerous minor injuries to his left arm and right leg and a possible head injury. He was transported to the Schuylkill Medical Center-E. Norwegain St. for treatment.Troopers said he was cited for driving on roadways laned for traffic.
