Road construction in Tamaqua today caused headaches for drivers as traffic was backed up on SR-309 while contractors closed one northbound lane of SR-309 to run electrical lines under the road as part of PennDOT's Tamaqua Central Business District Improvement Project, which is expected to last a few more months.
