An unknown number of residents along Summer Mountain Road in East Penn township are without power due to an accident. The crash occurred at 12:40 p.m. Friday as a motorist was traveling south and lost control. His vehicle left the road and hit and snapped off a utility pole. One person was evaluated by Lehighton paramedics but refused medical teansport. East Penn fire personnel responded shutting down the roadway. State police at Lehighton are investigating.
