State police at Lehighton

State police at Lehighton reported on the following incidents:

• Police charged a 79-year-old Allentown man with driving under the influence at 7:22 p.m. July 9 at Springgarden and East Bertsch streets in Lansford. Police responded to reports of an erratic driver and stopped a 2001 Honda Crosstour. Police said when they stopped him he was determined to be under the influence.

• A 38-year-old Lehighton man was charged with driving under the influence after a disturbance on Laurel Spring Road in East Penn Township.

Police were called to a residence at 11:51 p.m. July 16. The man fled the scene and was speeding and driving erratically in 2001 Subaru Forester on Dinkey Road.

• A 35-year-old Linden, New Jersey, man was stopped for a vehicle code violation on Pohopoco Drive near Beltzville State Park. The 2020 Ford EcoSport was stopped at 10:59 p.m.

Police said he is suspected of driving under the influence and having controlled substances and charges will be filed.

• Police charged a 75-year-old Saylorsburg man with violating a protection from abuse order after an argument with a 35-year-old woman. Police responded to the incident at 12:59 a.m. at Michael Street in Ross Township.

• A King of Prussia man was charged with disorderly conduct at the Mahoning Drive In.

Police responded to the drive in for a report of a belligerent and out-of-control patron at 1:10 a.m. July 15.

As a result, Gregory Dougherty, 39, was charged.
