Saints Peter and Paul Church, 60 N Third St., Lehighton announces the following:
The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass is offered on the Lord’s Day at Saints Peter and Paul Parish by the Rev. Christopher M. Zelonis, assisted by Deacon Joseph C. Wilhelm Jr., at 4 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays at 7:45 a.m. and 10 a.m.
Daily Masses are on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays at 8 a.m.
We welcome you, or welcome you back, to worship the Lord at our parish.
The Sacrament of Reconciliation (Confession) is available on Mondays and Wednesdays from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., and 30 minutes before Masses on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays.
The Eucharist is exposed for personal prayer every Wednesday from noon to 9 p.m. We are particularly in need of adorers between 6 p.m. and 9 p.m.
Until the end of August, Adoration from noon to 9 p.m. and confessions from 5 to 6 p.m. will take place on Thursdays. We still need adorers between 6 and 9 p.m.
Counseling services
Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Allentown is accepting appointments and walk-ins at the parish convent building every Thursday from 9 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. Services include: individual, marriage, and family counseling; pregnancy and parenting support (counseling, material assistance such as diapers, wipes, baby items); and supportive services (case management, material assistance, emergency rental assistance, referrals). Our parish Saint Vincent de Paul Society hosts “Vincent’s Closet” by appointment in our former convent building on 242 N. 3rd Street. The society offers clothing and toiletries for those in need, and seeks donations of gift cards for local stores. Call the Rectory for more information.
Block party
The “Backyard Bash Block Party” continues from 5 to 10 p.m. today on the parish grounds. American and ethnic foods, karaoke and bands, bingo, children’s games, clowns for balloons and face painting, raffles, and more.
