Stokes Ministry basket raffle Sat. in Hometown

Stokes Ministry of Tamaqua will hold a basket raffle from noon to 5 p.m. Saturday at the Hometown Fire Company, Route 54, in the village of Hometown.

Proceeds will benefit the G-Lady’s Food Pantry, 220 Green St., Tamaqua.

The community has donated dozens of items for the raffle, including two gas griddles, designer purses, gift cards to local businesses and more.

There will be door prizes.

Food will be available for purchase, including halushki, hot dogs, turkey barbecue and Tommy’s Pizza.
