Two of three Tamaqua teams earned Panther Valley Little League tournament wins over the weekend.

Tamaqua 12s
Towamesning, despite being outhit, scored runs in every inning Sunday to gain an 11-9 Panther Valley Little League tournament victory over the Tamaqua 12s.
The winners broke a 3-3 tie with four runs in the third and held the lead the rest of the way.
Gavin Shannon had three hits, one a double, scored twice and knocked in two runs for Tamaqua, which had 14 hits to Towamensing’s seven. Ryder Holmberg finished with two hits, including a home run. He scored twice and had two RBIs.
Tamaqua also received two hits, a pair of runs and an RBI from Chance Makovec, with Wyatt Devlin adding two hits and an RBI.

Tamaqua 11s-Anthracite
The Tamaqua 11s were able to outlast Anthracite for an 11-8 win in the Panther Valley Little League Tournament on Friday.
Ryan Geronimo was 2-for-3 with a triple, three RBIs and two runs scored for Tamaqua, which pushed across five runs in the top of the third inning to take the lead. Jaxon Faneck (double, two runs scored), Adilynn O’Gurek (double, run scored) and Chayse Barron (RBI, run scored) each had two hits in the win. Porter Wilson added a double and scored a run. Tavin Makovec tossed one-and-a-third innings of scoreless relief to seal the win.
Michael Demyanovich was 3-for-3 with two runs scored for Anthracite, which took a 6-5 lead in the bottom of the first inning and pounded out 12 hits in the game. Corrigan Crampsie added two hits, an RBI and scored twice, while Cooper Lynn (two RBIs, run scored) and Spencer Schirer (two RBIs, run scored) each doubled.

Jim Thorpe 10s
The Tamaqua 10s held on for a 6-4 rain-shortened Panther Valley Little League tournament victory over the Jim Thorpe 10s on Saturday.
Kroy Tirpak and Aiden Barrett both had a hit and scored a run for the winners in a game that was called early because of lightning and bad weather. Evan Shannon added a run and an RBI.
Barrett earned the win, allowing three hits and one earned run in 3 2/3 innings. He walked three and struck out four.
For Thorpe, C. Reis had a hit and a run, while J. Puddu finished with a hit and an RBI.
