The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation announced the following road work this week:

Carbon County

• Kidder Twp/East Side, Route 940 milling and paving between Luzerne County Line and Monroe County Line, 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. through Friday.

• Palmerton Borough, Fireline Road drainage between 3rd Street and Palmerton High School, 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. through Wednesday.

• Mahoning Township, Packerton Drive drainage between Beaver Run and Pine Hollow, 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesday through Friday.

Lehigh County

• I-78 construction Exit 55 (Route 29) and Northampton County line, 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. through Saturday.

• Upper Macungie, Lower Macungie and South Whitehall Townships: I-78 construction between Exit 49 (Route 100) and Exit 54 (Route 222), 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. through Friday.

Monroe County

• Hamilton Township, Route 209 bridge repair between Route 209 and Route 33, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday.

Northampton County

• Bethlehem Township, Route 22 construction between Route 512 and Route 33, 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. through Saturday.

• Route 33 road work between Route 22 and Main Street (Tatamy), 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. through Saturday.

• Bethlehem Township, Route 22 West lane restriction between Route 33 and Route 191, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday.
