Monroe INCIDENTS
State police at the Stroudsburg barracks reported on several incidents:
• Police charged an East Stroudsburg woman after a burglary at 3:30 p.m. June 28 at Tobacco King No. 3, Seven Bridge Road, Smithfield Township.
Police said the 45-year-old woman was previously employed at the business. It is alleged she went there when the store was closed and stole $11,625 in U.S. currency and $206.26 worth of Newport cigarettes.
• Police said a 42-year-old man from Saylorsburg was cited for harassment by physical contact after an incident at 5 p.m. July 1.
Police said they were called to a property on East Terrace Drive, Hamilton Township, for a domestic disturbance in progress. The victim is a 42-year-old woman from Saylorsburg.
• Police are investigating the theft of about 250 gallons of cooking oil from a site in Hamilton Township.
It happened between midnight June 23 and 1:02 p.m. June 29 along Turtle Walk Lane in the township. The victim is Buffalo Biodiesel, Tonawanda, New York.
Police said someone stole the oil from the Baymont Inn’s designated storage location in the rear parking lot.
The oil has a value of about $1,100.
• Animal cruelty charges are pending against two people after police were called to two separate cases in which animals were left in vehicles.
They were summoned at 5:04 p.m. July 3 to 3578 Route 611 in Hamilton Township for a case of an animal being in a 2021 GMC Sierra. The charges in that case are pending against Leszek Brzozowski, 55, of Ridgewood, New York.
Police were called at 8:07 p.m. the same night to the same location and said charges are pending against Cristyann Emilio Aguilar Sanvicente, 41, of Bayonne, New Jersey, for an animal left in a 2018 Nissan Armada.
